![]() ![]() Iotop watches I/O usage information output by the Linux kernel (requires 2.6.20 or later) and displays a table of current I/O usage by processes or threads on the system. IOTOP (Linux only, top on BSD has this included) Htop uses color and gives visual information about processor, swap and memory status. Unlike top, htop provides a full list of processes running, instead of the top resource-consuming processes. It shows a frequently updated list of the processes running on a computer, normally ordered by the amount of CPU usage. It is designed as an alternative to the Unix program top. Htop is an interactive system-monitor process-viewer and process-manager. The types of system summary information shown and the types, order and size of information displayed for tasks are all user configurable and that configuration can be made persistent across restarts. It can display system summary information as well as a list of tasks currently being managed by the Linux kernel. The top program provides a dynamic real-time view of a running system. ![]()
